Braiding Sweetgrass! It’s truly one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read. The author literally weaves together Indigenous traditions and personal family stories with science and botany. It’s philosophical and thought provoking and I love it

When you grow up in the PNW rain is just a way of life that you must learn to embrace.

One of my very favorite rain memories though is when my best friend and I traveled to Philadelphia in college and got caught in a downpour. We weren’t used to that sort of rain, but we frolicked anyway
