I don't remember, either. Like, my earliest reading memory is of being sent to read Boxcar Children books in a corner by myself at the beginning of first grade because I was too advanced for all of the reading groups.

Like, you have to sign a form and then mail it in. I'm going to guess if it's super close there will also be groups canvassing to help voters cure their ballots, but definitely don't count on that.
Also, if you don't hear from your auditor but your ballot was rejected, you should call them.

Most of the ballots I've helped cure, it's because someone forgot to sign the return envelope, the signature didn't match what they have on file, or multiple people in a household voted and signed someone else's return envelope. It's generally a pretty easy fix.

You should receive a letter in the mail from your county's auditor that includes a form to "cure" your ballot, i.e. make whatever correction it is that's needed. I believe my county also calls or emails if we include that information on our return envelope.

If your ballot status says that it's been challenged or rejected, you should be hearing from your auditor's office (if you haven't already). Here's an explanation of what that means: www.sos.wa.gov/elections/da...

I've helped cure ballots a few times so I'm chiming in!
If you vote at a Seattle address, check your ballot status at voter.votewa.gov.
Your ballot status will be on the homepage after you log in. If it says accepted, your vote has already been counted. You're fine.
