The swiss brain cheese level of thinking this administration embodies . .
As you may have noticed, white supremacists want to stop the influx of hardworking young people (aka immigration) while somehow forcing white women to have lots more babies to compensate, but they refuse to make having kids more affordable and less arduous an experience.
RFK Jr: "When my uncle was president, the fertility rate in this country was 3.5%. Today it is 1.6%. The replacement rate -- in other words the amount of fertility you need to keep your population even -- is 2.1%. We are below replacement. That is a national security threat to our country."

This is one feature of the deprofessionalization of the DHS under Noem. Employees have encouraged to treat prisoners as lesser beings, undeserving of basic human dignity. Aspects of the organizational culture that already believed this are being empowered.
Meanwhile in Korean media there is clarity that Trump directed this raid out of spite following his Oval Office meeting with the ROK President, who pushed back aggressively on Trump's praise for the North Korean dictator. They're right. US media have no clue of what's going on.

Meet Shakira. Ten years ago, she was living in a shelter with her three kids, working at a non-union hotel.

Now she's a member of HTC.

Unions are how working people can build a dignified life. But in a city as expensive as ours, they need local government on their side.

While riding the B or Q trains between Dekalb Ave station and the Manhattan Bridge, you may catch a glimpse of "Masstransiscope," a public art installation by Bill Brand. It was added to the #NYCsubway system in 1980.

What can we do about it?

Control of the BK Dem Party hinges on the party’s executive committee—made up of Seddio and 41 other district leaders, two from each of the assembly districts in Brooklyn.

Each of these positions will be up for re-election next year in the Democratic primaries.

This story exemplifies the reason people are outraged at ICE.

This guy did nothing wrong. He broke not a single law. He was a guard at a base that housed US troops. He came here legally through humanitarian parole. He had an asylum application pending. Yet the Trump admin had ICE grab him anyway.

Frances Perkins was influenced by the tragedy of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire.
For us, Frances Perkins is the ultimate #AltCitizen. Born into privilege, she did not turn a blind eye to the needs of others. In fact, the more she was exposed to the difficulties of the working class as a young woman, the more determined she became to make a difference.
