I got hit in the head by a kid with a book titled "Love One Another" and needed stitches this week.
It's a reminder of just how sheltered I was from a lot of the hardest parts of teaching in academia.
That said, the scar on my head damaged me less than the scars on my spirit via HigerEd. #Trauma

I taught my friends about dandelion and violet jams this year and a bunch have followed the lead to make their own. I'm so happy to share this joy!

I am so proud of my colleague (Cindy Officer, NTID) for addressing how bias, politics, and propaganda is negatively influencing our field and how to teach our deaf kids the same. It took a lot of courage to present this topic at a national conference.
