As an Oilers fan, I'm okay with all these Olympic snubs. These guys have played a lot of hockey the past two seasons. A break should do them good. But as competitive athletes I'd expect those that truly felt snubbed to have a little extra motivation for the rest of the season.

For two seasons I watched almost every Oilers game with Dennis. He saw the game in a way I could only dream of. Can't think of a better job in the biz for him.
May be old news, but I saw Carolina announced some hirings/promotions.
Dennis King, part of the old school Oilogosphere, was hired.
Kevin Kan, created cool vizs under Data Rink, was promoted.

Score didn't favour them, but that was a good period of hockey from the Oilers. Should've learned from the Kings and not challenged that first goal. At least it was early.
