The BBC will fuck things up from time to time. Lots of major news organisations do; just look at The Times having to memoryhole several fake news stories in a matter of weeks.
No one is calling for the abolition of The Times, however.

I know this won't surprise anyone here but Musk's reprogrammed artificial intelligence is spreading misinformation about yesterday's attack on a train

So here's Andrew Cuomo reacting to Maria Bartiromo wondering if Mamdani will "change the look of New York" and have Muslim women "completely covered up," telling her that Mamdani "doesn't understand New York culture" because he has "dual citizenship" and "he's a citizen of Uganda."

Good to see you last night @robertsaunders.bsky.social . But I must apologise - my chronology was wrong! Mrs T's 1988 speech was to/at the Royal Society. Her Nov 1989 speech was at the UN - so that could hardly have affected May's European parliament elections as my plastic and false memory claimed.

Having just interviewed Michael Heseltine (see also Times interview today) it's clear how big the gap being left by a non-functioning Conservative party is.
