F this, I am going to go hang with my chickens.
Over winter break I brought my uncle some eggs. Bred with a 12lb Brahma. He feeds a mostly vegetarian diet to them. Mine are free range and I think they were noticeably larger by this age. The first picture is his, second, and third mine at about the same age.

I was reminded of this picture from another post where their baby was in a tree. Some say chickens don't fly. I would say they don't fly far. She used to jump from the bed of a truck up there to get in the backyard. Now she just flies over the 6' fence in the picture.

This is Frenchy. He was a blue rock. He became dinner not long ago because he was the biggest a$$hole you would have ever met. This is him hiding in the trees after big boy Yeti put him in his place.

Here are some from inside the coop. I had over 80 birds. I am down to 16. I reduced my flock so the neighbor could tend them while I am away. I am tending to a family member out of state for several months. I look at their pictures when I miss them.

Somehow when I go to get feed I end up with a dozen "throw away" babies that have gotten too old. I think Ron would say, "people that pay for chickens are suckers."
Eh, you gotta start somewhere. 😁
