My fear is they will still try to go after her just like Kilmar Garcia. They are saying she paid someone to bring her teenage children across in El Paso. Her work status is supposed to be good till 11/2029 but if they convict her I'm not sure if that holds. I don't trust ICE/DHS.

When I was working I thoroughly enjoyed teardown projects. I was invited to participate in several with my appliance customers helping them find ways to reduce their costs & still be competitive. My role was steel quality but we were there to help find any cost reductions. Yep, I'm a geek 🤓

My cat jumped from the half wall to the daybed yesterday while I was watching TV. If I was a fainting goat, I would have fainted. As it was, I was just startled. Half wall is on the opposite side of the room. She can be such an ass.

Some employers want you on Part A as soon as eligible as it reduces their costs for you insurance. Mine required me to enroll. Part B was not required until I retired. But, what do I know?

I had no idea of this part of your history. I'm glad it's better now & sorry you went through this. Yes, lack of food is a more immediate risk to most than lack of healthcare.

As a WW you are privileged. It doesn't mean you are rich & may not have faced some difficulties, just that you get preferential treatment not awarded to BIPOC in similar situations.

You MUST sign on to Medicare Part A within 3 months prior/after you turn 65 to avoid penalties even if you are still working & covered by an employer plan. At that point you MUST stop funding an HSA. Part A covers hospitalization, not doctor's visits (see Part B). Life experience here.

And, once you sign onto Medicare Part A you can no longer Ionger contribute to an HSA. Many folks 65+ are still working.
