Don't worry yall. He swears his argument is actually really nuanced & not at all meant as a progressive-sounding cudgel against people w/ valid criticisms of AI.

You may ask, "How does he actually make that distinction?" Well that's beyond the scope of the paper you see.

Harris only had an average national polling lead of 0.8% on election day, which favors Trump in the EC.For reference, on election day Clinton had a 3% lead in '16 & Biden had a 7.9% lead in '20. Trump also had a slim lead in avg PA election day polls, a state Harris couldn't afford to lose.

MTA reported an avg of 1.4 million daily bus riders (who paid fare) in 2023, & 19% of NYers struggled to afford fare, which is $2.90 per ride or ~$1,600/yr via $132 monthly passes.

$1b/yr =
•0.86% the '26 budget
•$1.96 per rider per day
•$637/yr to save each struggling NYer 250% that amount per yr

I thought this might have been a case of bad tv zone, but jfc it's even more damning on statcast. Not only was the expected call on every single pitch in the AB a strike, pitches 4 & 5 were in the same spot as the 2nd called strike. This might be the most egregious AB called in the statcast era.

You shouldn't be so mean if you're going to be this ignorant.

One of the *actual* difficulties of having a rational discussion about political theory is when people behave like this guy.

Most prominent right wing propagandists, including Loomer, understand left wing theory better than this dipshit, but they believe it's *good* if the "right" people are poor.

It's also weird how media ignores the dramatic radicalization of Gen Z women. Almost like they want us to believe that class war must be helmed by men.

It began to decline in tandem with the US embracing open trade policy, of which free trade represents the extreme. I'm not disputing that other major factors beyond trade policy have contributed to US union decline (for instance, violent suppression of striking workers, and red scare propaganda).

NAFTA wasn't the start of the US embracing open trade policies; it's just a well-known example of recent free trade policy. If you look at the historical trend of US tariffs here, you'll notice an obvious correlation between post-WW2 tariff rates and US manufacturing decline in the post you quoted.

FYI: Messing with the Y-axis is a major red flag. My 2nd pic shows basically the same data as your first pic, but mine shows the whole Y-axis.

Wage stagnation refers to diminishing & unequal growth, not literally zero growth. If the semantics bother you, I can call it wage suppression instead.
