i've been a daily newspaper reader most of my adult life but ditching the post and replacing it with defector, 404 media, the verge, the 51st, washington city paper, the new yorker and a handful of independent writers has been an adequate substitute. bit harder to manage it all, though

Today, along with 2,000 other NIH employees, I had to clear out my office 😭
It was truly the honor of my life to work with such incredibly passionate people focused on improving human health. I’ve never experienced a more positive culture where *everyone* cared about their job and serving others.

Capitalism can’t even be non exploitative in theory. Thats the whole basis. The whole basis of the system is exploitation.

A 13 yo rapidly progressed from mild symptoms to respiratory & renal failure. She survived thanks to IMV + ECMO + CRRT.
