I've always wanted to go to GDC. A small part of me still does, but knowing enough about myself and these big events now, and knowing that my colleagues have 60+ meetings over the 5 days...no thank you.

Spent some time over the weekend playing games via Steam Remote Play to Steam Deck and holy moly - this is probably my standard way of playing games at home moving forward!

“You should be in the office at least every weekday” is the most end-stage capitalism bullshit I’ve ever heard. “Sweet spot of productivity” based on what metric? Oh that’s right, no metric - just the metric of “make line go up”.

Fucking clown.
If "60 hours a week is the sweet spot of productivity," that's only because the tech workers who can put in all those hours at the office have offloaded all their caregiving responsibilities onto others more vulnerable than them.

Oh look, it’s the consequences of my actions. I didn’t think I’d see you so soon…
I'm so sorry I can't stop laughing. OpenAI, the company built on stealing literally the entire internet, is crying because DeepSeek may have trained on the outputs from ChatGPT. They're crying their eyes out. What a bunch of hypocritical little babies. Cry more, freaks.

Piss.Off.

I'm _vastly_ more productive at home than I ever was in an office. Mostly because I don't have to constantly course correct to the "chasing the shiniest thing in the room" attitudes of the executive team, and actually get into a flow state and get on with my work.

lol.
This week Dell has decided to kill the pretty well-established XPS, Latitude and Inspiron line branding, and rebranded as Dell, Dell Pro and Dell Pro Max. This is not a joke

I know nothing about Substance Painter. Spent the whole day modifying and exporting alternate textures for some of our assets. Turns out I was missing the alpha channel from all of them so no emissive map. Now have to restart all of them because I didn’t do things non-destructively. FML. 😫😫
