I blinked and OT was over.

Canes deserved a better fate in their overall game but when you give any team free goals, you're lucky to get a point. Take it and learn from the mistakes. On to the next one.

Canes secure a point as they head into OT. 3 points in this back to back, let's see if they can complete the set and get all 4. Canes will need to not get stuck out there like they did last night.

I sent this before I saw the goal on the Canes broadcast.
Oilers with a good push to start the 3rd period.

20 minutes of hockey left and if the Canes can keep their forecheck going they have a really good chance to come out of this game with 2 points. It's been a really solid effort for them tonight, but costly mistakes to cost the game is why it's a tie game.

Oilers with a set play from their defensive face-off dot. Canes get back to challenge the shot, and Andersen handles the shot.

Ah there's the Skinner I know and love. Canes tie it early in the 2nd, 2-2.

"Holes in your D are bad, holes in your teeth are badder" is what I think that guy is going to say every time in that Lane Dentistry commercial. Now I'm at the point where he needs to reshoot it to say exactly that.

Also turn the volume down on the LET'S GO CANES

Two really solid shifts by the top line for the Canes.
November 16, 2025 at 12:47 AM
What a shift from the top line. But it all starts with a great shift from the Staal line first. Canes almost beat Skinner but it remains 2-0 for the Oilers
November 16, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Stankoven said "we just gave them 2 goals" and I'm like can you give the Hurricanes like 5 goals?
November 16, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Svechnikov gets away with a clear cross check and the tv mic picked up someone saying "what the fuck was that" and then I believe I heard "it's going to get ugly"

Canes lucky they're not down a man again

Not an ideal start for the Canes. A big upgrade in opponent from who they played just 24 hours ago. Mistakes are deadly against this team. Gotta shake it off and just get to your game.
November 16, 2025 at 12:30 AM
What in the hell was Stuart Sk.... wait, I'm getting reports that it was actually Andersen doing something silly. Not ideal for the normally composed goalie for the Canes making that kind of mistake.
November 16, 2025 at 12:22 AM
Well two Oilers shifts and I'm sitting here saying "uh oh" on both of them. Canes are going to need to be sharp
November 16, 2025 at 12:18 AM
I usually don't comment on Adam Lee Decker but what the hell are those pants?
November 16, 2025 at 12:14 AM
Happy game day Canes fans. Here's hoping for a good effort tonight. Going to have to play solid in their own end. Get pucks deep and get pucks out of the zone.

While watching the Canes game I did not see the Svech hit when it happened, in fact I just saw it moments ago. Hate seeing it, and wouldn't be surprised to see a fine. Hope the player is okay, hate seeing that.

Canes with a great effort, never stopped, and eventually get rewarded. Costly mistakes ended up in the back of their net but they controlled the play, tilted the ice, and got the result. PK not sharp but made solid saves down the stretch when called upon. Hoping for good news on Jarvis and KK
November 15, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Will be interesting how the Canes handle 3 on 3 hockey with Jarvis out. Maybe Ehlers/Aho?
November 15, 2025 at 2:41 AM
I hate that this has so much potential to be correct right now. Canes just tied the game at 3, so I'll take that.
Canes are going to have 40 million shots tonight, and the Canucks are going to have 4 dangerous opportunities, and convert on probably each one and win 4-3.
November 15, 2025 at 2:17 AM
Have the Canes moved Blake to the top line?
November 15, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Jeez RBA, pick a facial expression and stick with it lol. #Canes
November 15, 2025 at 1:32 AM
Nystrom going for another assist by copying and pasting his play from last week that got him his first point. Only Aho didn't finish. Canes still trail 3-2
November 15, 2025 at 1:17 AM
It's so frustrating that the Canes have to work so hard for every little thing and then another team just makes it look so easy.
