Spice Bush caterpillar in my neighbor’s backyard. The butterfly is stunning. Planning to plant a few spice bushes (their host plant) in my backyard. Damn! Nature makes my heart skip a beat!

Found in the parking lot at Wild Birds Unlimited. They had planted 1 Whorled Milkweed plant and a monarch found it. Goes to show that if we all planted just a few native plants each, the impact would be enormous for pollinators.

My seventh release.
My final stats for the season: 33 Bluebirds, 29 House Wrens, 10 Tree Swallows, and 7 Chickadees. Three of my Bluebird boxes were attacked by House Wrens, which was really frustrating. But not bad for 7 acres.
