That said at least in BC, while covid was hard, the city was functioning much sooner than anyone I knew in the US and the fear and despair was much lower, and vaccines felt like they rolled out a little slower than I'd like but then they were widely available once they were? and still sooner than US

Though, that is a problem in the US too I think. In general the experience is better in a bunch of humane ways, but still bad in a bunch of "the government isn't funding it to the degree that it should" ways and in a "doctors are a specialized job that we don't have enough of" ways.

BUUUUT I've never had a bill that was hundreds of dollars, never worried about being able to financially afford any visit, just worried about how long it would take to be seen or book an appointment but even then worst it was weeks out. Though I've heard specialists can be booked months out.

Healthcare experiences in canada will be heavily provincially influenced as each provinces manages its implementation of it. My experience in BC is pretty positive though it is hard to find a family (read as regular) doctor and I spent years going to clinics where I might see diff docs each time.

To your point, I don't think genai "solves everything" or "revolutionizes game dev" -- i think its another tool with some unique upsides, plenty of downsides, and takes time to wield well, and requires creatives to wield to create good experiences.
