I'm back home after a work trip (and vacation) @IASToulouse for an "External Validity Conference". It was inspiring to spend time thinking deeply about issues of generalization and causality - and it reminded me how much conferences and meetings matter for both the mind and soul.

This talk by @toldson. I don’t even know how to express how beautiful, amazing, and brave his message is for our quantitative community. I’m buying his book. You should too.

.@fitzgerald_kg and I have a meta-analysis methods paper out that I'm thrilled to share.

We propose a new plot - the Meta-Analytic Rain Cloud (MARC) plot - that does.

Mark Lipsey asks some big questions about evidence based programs in his Olkin Award talk. Only 7.3% of juvenile justice programs used are “evidence based programs” - maybe we’re studying the wrong things? (Makes me wonder about this in education!) #srsm
