If you use Monte Carlo, you use the Metropolis algorithm. Have you ever noticed that the original 1953 paper was a family work?

Besides Nicholas Metropolis, it's also authored by Marshall and his wife Arianna Rosenbluth and by Augusta and her husband Edward (H-Bomb) Teller. 🧪

Looking West at night from the Andes mountains in Colombia. There’s a small smudge of light starting near the top right corner, that’s the Andromeda galaxy. Only about 100 years ago we learned that it was a galaxy, far outside the Milky Way. 🧪 🔭
