The state of independent political commentary, particularly on YT is ABYSMAL. It’s as CLICKBAITY and HYPERBOLIC as Fox News and other right wing outlets.

It really feels like a race to the bottom.

It’s the result of a systemic lack of funding for public education over the past 45 years.
Back before the Internet, we thought the reason for human stupidity was the lack of information options.

Watching JD Vance desperately try to chime in, get ignored, and be reduced to laughing at Trump's shitty jokes is truly, astonishingly bitchless behaviour.

Trump wasn’t saying “I don’t know” in response to whether he needed to uphold the constitution. He was saying “I don’t, no.”

Canada had its highest election turnout since 1993 (when the Bloc Québécois and Reform parties emerged), and yet 31.4% of eligible Canadian voters still sat out what was a pivotal election for the country.

First off, Pete Hegseth is a disgrace and should be fired.

Second, instead of being an asshole and trash-talking the journalist, he should be thanking him for not posting anything top-secret that’s still to come.

Between now and April 28, approach everything you see online with an abundance of caution. Double check sources and adjust for bias, even in mainstream media. Read the Larry platforms. There’s too much at stake to get sucked into narratives. #cdnpoli

I’m a long standing supporter of the NDP, even going to an Alberta NDP leadership convention to support Rachel Notley’s leadership bid in 2014. They represent my beliefs of how government should work for its citizens responsibly.

This election cycle, they need to take the loss. #cdnpoli
