After looking at some more at benchmarks from the RX 7600 I'm feeling relatively comfortable with what they are targeting for the new Steam Machine, but really can't see much value generated if this is sold for more than $500 for the base model.

About halfway through getting our photo backups from Google in Immich and I think that photos duplicated across albums get hit in these counts. That said, learning that you have more than 100,000 photos between you and your wife is kind of crazy...

Looks like Google Takeout lost thousands of music files I had backed up including music purchased through Google Play Store.
The music is missing in YouTube Music too.
Has anyone had any success navigating these issues with Google to recover lost media that was purchased?

Home NAS set up, converting my former desktop into the media ingestion server and processing hub for Immich, and finalizing all the cancellations of our subscriptions. Short of physical PC games being a thing again it'll feel good for us to own all our media again.

Man... Initial tests with the XG Mobile 5070 Ti EGPU are really awesome. Considering this and the Xbox Ally X are replacing my desktop with it's 2070 Super and my consoles it's a really, really solid upgrade! Not a cheap option, but the flexibility is so nice!

So apparently ASUS decided to shadow drop the new XG Mobile EGPU, but only the 5070 Ti version? I ordered one for my wife and I, but may trade them out for the 5090 version depending on performance. I may hold off on switching to Bazzite on my main drive until I can test performance with this.

My wife and I have come to an agreement on the path towards ditching our subscriptions. The hardest ones to let go of would have been Spotify and Google One. After showing her Plexamp and the low cost of CDs we're good to ditch Spotify, and after discovering Immich we're ditching Google too!

Really glad that it's so easy to disable the AI chatbot in Firefox. I ditched Chrome and Edge, switched back to Firefox this past week, moved to Qwant for my search engine, and working to prep for a full move from Windows to Linux for everything but my work issued laptop.

It's interesting to see that a campaign only remake of Halo CE is launching as the first Halo title on PlayStation.
If Microsoft wants to get Xbox to 30% profit margins why not bring over Halo Infinite which has microtransactions, including 4 years of battle passes for PS5 players to catch up on?

I'm always down for any excuse to replay Halo CE but this really looks like an awful "Xbox hire this man" type fake game slice. All of the atmosphere of Installation 04 is completely gone.
