you'd think this would be a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things but if you're spending hours and hours in a randomly generated dungeon you really need an appealing atmosphere and mementos just doesn't do that for me compared to any version of tartarus
weirdly enough i dislike mementos but that's probably just due to the music not being as much of a vibe to me

one thing i hope they carry from metaphor to persona 6 is the little bonus you get if you overcap a social stat. you can max social stats in p3r pretty early and the party member hangouts that increase social stats feel a bit wasteful, even though you do get a personality bonus after a couple of em
