My last pickup averaged 15 MPG, was a pain in the ass to park anywhere and had 100 lb less load capacity than my mew Maverick. Small pickups are awesome! I only wish Ford offered this in a two door compact, with a 5.5’ bed. I’ll make do.

Snapshot of the instrument cluster in my Ford Maverick after my commute home from work, in heavy traffic. The trip took a little over one hour and I averaged 40.5 miles per gallon. The trip was 32.5 miles total, of which 11.8 miles were driven in EV mode.

I’m raising monsters.

Monstera plant sprouting in a large pot covered with tan bark. The larger plant is unfurling its first leaf. The leaf is dark green inside and is showing its trademark lines and marking. A much smaller plant is coming up next to it, from a second bulb that I was sure was no longer viable.

Not only is it not dead yet, but it’s growing. I swear it’s just trying to foster a false sense of security before it makes a sudden and very dramatic turn.

I trimmed her back after she stopped blooming a couple months ago, now this.

He's not quite sure what he is either.

I lost my father in January, so I'm going through piles and piles of pictures for a slideshow we'll be playing at his memorial next week. I found a picture he took of me at a hydroelectric plant somewhere in Washington. I was 16ish in this picture, sometime around 1990.
