In your example both the Practice nav item and the other menu item are active - it appeared overwhelming to me. Here are examples of sidebars with an active item that aren't overwhelming to me when I see it.

Doing frontend is like getting wisdom teeth pulled, only doing it if I have to. 😂 Huge respect to frontend engineers, you’re amazing.
But alas, Signup/Login flow frontend complete. ✅
For the backend, trying Supabase for auth instead of AWS Cognito.
