Thank you to all in efforts of acknowledgement to this month 💜

As a DV/SV/HT advocate, my full support for Rhode Island is behind Keith4AG
October is #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth — a time to honor survivors, remember victims, and recommit to ending this crisis.

Violent crime will never be tolerated in Rhode Island. As AG, I’ll ensure victims are protected and abusers are held fully accountable.

Weather is looking good Monday in RI!

Can’t decide which “beach” reading to bring or have time to checkout a new reading. A few cases come to mind

Any recommendations?

On this day in 1964, the US outlawed discrimination based on race, religion, sex, or national origin.

The Civil Rights Act was a culmination of decades of activism & struggle for racial equality.

61 years later, we still fight to deliver on  the work of those who paved the way.

Guns are the number one killer of children in the U.S.

Access to firearms increases the likelihood of a domestic abuser killing his female partner by 500%.

During Gun Violence Prevention Month, we demand change on behalf of survivors, those we have lost, & those we can still save.

"[ ] who rely on trauma-informed attorneys to help them stay safe.”

More in Politics..
The Justice Department canceled grants used to train lawyers who work with survivors of domestic violence & sexual assault. So we're suing on behalf of the American Bar Association.

This blatant act of retaliation against @americanbar.org is unconstitutional & we will hold DOJ accountable in court.

Here at the National Women’s Law Center, we know that the systems that enable abuse are the same ones that silence survivors. Cassie’s testimony is a powerful example of what it takes to break that silence—and how urgently we need change.

Cassie Testified. We Believe Her.
Cassie’s story serves as a devastating reminder of how abuse can keep women from doing their work, building stability, and reaching their full potential.

50501 is a peaceful, non-violent movement. Any attempts to portray us as such are blatantly false.

If you find an agitator, do not engage them. Simply find the nearest person in a safety vest and bring the agitator to their attention.

If someone is inciting violence, they are NOT with us.
