I know this won’t make me any friends, but I don’t think Musk’s gesture was a Roman/Nazi salute at all. However, the man is pro-nationalism, like Trump, and his ideology aligns closely with fascist principles similar to the Nazis—that much is clear.

It's funny how everyone focuses on things like Elon's salute at Trump's inauguration, but no one seems to talk about the fact that Trump literally said "expand our territory" and dropped plenty of other hints about planning to invade other countries. What the heck?? 😳

Haven't fully switched to Bluesky yet due to bad experiences here, but Twitter is getting overrun by sex bots liking my posts, and it’s exhausting. Bluesky feels too much like a bubble—I’d rather engage with people from all sides. Social media has issues everywhere these days.

One of the biggest problems with Humanity is that we tend to be more reactive than proactive; we wait until the last minute to fix big problems that could have been solved long ago.

I must admit, I was very confused myself. I didn't get why they mentioned this at all (the fact he's neurodivergent) and it didn't feel inappropriate to cry in such a situation.

It's actually kind of nutty that a boy get emotional and cries during his father's big moment and folks are defending it with "he's literally neurodivergent and a minor" instead of just "boys are allowed to cry"???

I must admit, I was very confused myself. I didn't get why they mentioned this at all (the fact he's neurodivergent) and it didn't feel inappropriate to cry in such a situation.

For folks new to Bluesky: please add alt text to all your images so visually-impaired folks can still enjoy them while using a screen reader, and also to index images so they can be searched on. Go to your Accessibility Settings and turn on "require alt text", and you'll never forget about it.
There is an option in Accessibility Settings, just switch it on, and you will never forget to add alt-text to the images you post.
First and foremost this is necessary for people with visual impairments to understand your posts. But alt-text does so much more.

Reminder that if you are a celebrity or have a big account with lots of followers, it's a very shitty thing to do to retweet a small account and incite people to pile up on them, especially if they aren't bigots and are your peers from oppressed communities.

That's a tendency people have of virtue signaling but not doing a lot of work on themselves and acknowledging literally everyone has cognitive biases and flaws we need to work on seriously. "Perfect" characters don't feel real because nobody is like this in real life.
I don't like this tendency of modern western media to completely avoid any problematic characters/character flaws because they're afraid of backlash or smth
Imo, it makes the writing stale cuz there's barely any interpersonal drama or growth for characters possible. People can be shitty, its real.

After more than 11 years on the platform, I can hardly believe I’ve been put in Twitter jail for fighting back against Nazis who were literally calling for the mass genocide of disabled people. Quite unbelievable! What a cesspit has this platform become!... 😭
