G. Pelicot literally just finished proving that you can’t spot abusers just by looking. It’s disturbing reading the arguments going on about the grooming gangs- it sounds like men arguing about who has the right to abuse. The outrage of Musk seems focused on the race of the men, not the fact of it.

For 2025 I hope that all those people obsessed with gathering power and wealth could discover a different hobby. Lace making by hand or calligraphy or photographing moss, something peaceful and absorbing.

Child poverty is entirely preventable, but if we want to get rid of it, as a society we must accept that benefits are *a good thing*.
It's disheartening to see how many politicians still talk about people 'gaming the system' - the most vulnerable (inc kids) pay the price for this rhetoric.
