DOGE operatives have repeatedly referred to the software company Palantir as a possible partner in creating a “mega API” at the IRS, sources tell WIRED.

Every move like this is demonstrative of only one thing: they believe they will always remain in power. There’s no reason to do all this, unless the goal is complete authoritarian control. The human trafficking to a torture prison is meant as a warning of what will happen to those who oppose.

I’m working on a book proposal related to food safety in ag and specifically my work as a third-party auditor, and this topic is literally the first sample chapter. Spoiler: growers have more power than they claim over the treatment of subcontracted workers.
Farmers have long relied on third-party contractors to source and manage farmworkers.
But all that outsourcing makes it hard for growers to know how workers are being treated — and makes it easy to ignore when they’re treated badly.

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

As a trained geographer, it never ceases to annoy me that books that claim to use geography as a method of investigation are typically written by people not trained in geography. Though it’s not nearly as terrible as trained geographers who employ it to further environmental racism.

The degree to which the Democratic Party is failing to meet this moment is staggering. And INFURIATING, when contrasted with the courage on display from ordinary people with far, far less power & protection.
