Architect, painter, newbie cello player, mother of teen boys and 50 years old. I prefer nature and analog over digital and will always choose love and hope over hate and fear.
I don’t know why I continue to be amazed at how stupid and uninformed the vast majority of Americans are. You’d think I would learn by now.

Is there anything better than being on a road trip and everyone singing at the top of their lungs (even the teens!). These are the days I’ll miss as they get older and move away.

Anyone else ever get the urge to hug a tree and thank it? Just me? Okay.

I really wish I knew someone with a pool. I am in the mood (in mental need) to kick off the summer with a traditional cookout and water (lake would work too).

She is done. This was a big step out of my comfort zone since I typically paint abstracts, but it needed to be painted. Even as I was finishing today, I was having an inner argument between perfectionism and letting go. Letting go finally prevailed and this is the result.

I try very hard to see the best in this world and have hope that good will overcome evil, but goddamn it! I really want to inflict bodily harm on some people right now! Me screaming into the void until it doesn’t hurt anymore.

Watch The Four Seasons on Netflix.

I had jumped on the Target boycott bandwagon, but yesterday needed to pick up a few things (toiletries through decorative items). Target was easiest so in I went. Our Target has always had very diverse employees. Still do. Everyone I saw working there was either POC or LGBTQ+.

We are being gaslighted by our government. I just can’t deal with this anymore!

I thought we were a country that would have gone into physical action more quickly against an authoritarian regime. I think many of us are ready to stage a coup but we need a leader.

Have Christians stopped to think if they weren’t assholes people might like them?

After all the slashing and burning, what’s the plan, Republicans? The ball’s in your court, but I have yet to see what you’re going to do.

Maybe this becomes a painting. I am usually an abstract artist. Allowing painting to be the one area I let myself go. I need to let a lot more go these days. Maybe I start with painting what is on my mind.

DEI initiatives are not actually going away in many cases. Companies are rewording so as not to have a conflict with the EO and potential lose their federal funding, but are not actually changing their practices.
February 14, 2025 at 9:17 PM
Is anyone keeping track of each EO and posting an analysis? I have tried to read through each of them, but don’t have the background to have a clear understanding of what they all really mean.

What would happen if the officials and employees Trump and Musk are firing just refused?
February 8, 2025 at 3:10 PM
Okay. Cut federal funding to education and let the states be in charge. That just means the low ranking red states will continue to struggle. But, when you are a party of control it is easier to control the ignorant.

They wanted more boarder security but don’t want to pay extra taxes to hire more agents and install better security measures.
They wanted cheaper groceries and gas but don’t want increased regulations to make companies stop the price gouging. 👇🏻

At one time in our nations history, white men gave their lives for the freedom of black men and women. Today, we have an administration that has stripped any initiatives to ensure POC have equal opportunities and will not observe Black History Month.

Yesterday, my son’s high school English teacher (black) led a discussion about the N word, how the meaning has changed, and how she personally feels about it. I 100% approve. It is a perspective we could never give and it is what education should be about.

Are the democrats secretly strategizing or have they thrown in the towel? Would now be an opportune time to launch that viable third party?

Anyone else think the past 7 days has felt like a year? Just me? Mkay
