China always has the next Shenzhou spacecraft on standby, to launch on short notice for a potential rescue mission. Not sure if SpaceX does the same and I doubt that Russia does it.

Location at time of observation.
This was a difficult object to model in our reentry model: very eccentric orbit (brief dips below 1540 km), and indications of changing attitude =- changing drag area
