…It’s a lot like this favorite diagram of mine only instead of “decades old theory” it’s “technical information” and instead of “background assumption no one is aware of” it’s “basic information expert has forgotten that not everyone already knows”

I took an architectural history class on utopias at UNLV in the mid 2010’s, so it was interesting to see one pop up in Nevada’s back yard! What was the guiding philosophy and criticism of the status quo you ask? Like many utopias, it was centered removing government… www.bbc.com/news/world-u...

Here are some other really great histories that are also uniquely depressing based on current events. (Crabgrass frontier isn’t as depressing as Cadillac Desert or Power Lines imo, but they all are interrelated)
