I finished the Isleburgh Toorie hat for Finnin today. It was designed by the Doull Family for 2024 Shetland Wool Week. I knit it using Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool yarn.

The sunrise this morning was another beautiful one, but I wasn’t able to get a good picture of it. The stop light turned green, and it was time to begin my trek to work. Anyway, I did get a quick picture of this fuzzy pink cloud.

I haven’t made beer bread since my oldest was a baby (he’s almost 20), but I had some leftover Guinness so I decided to make some. My other two kids seem doubtful that it’ll be tasty (it will be).

I’m not a speedy knitter, and lately I have been enjoying fairly straightforward patterns that allow me to read and knit. I knit these for my youngest son. He loves his wool socks

I just might finish the first fingerless mitt for #mittalong2023. The pattern is the Climbing Vine Mitts by Dee Hardwicke from Modern Daily Knitting Field Guide No. 25 Botanica. I’m really enjoying the yarn, Atlas, and the pattern. Hopefully, I’ll have them finished before it gets really cold.
