I haven’t painted with watercolor in years, but started an art club with my students so decided to paint along with them. It’s not my usual style but it still makes me happy. I overworked the green area but I don’t care. Art is fun.

How are students really using AI tools like ChatGPT in their writing? The best way to find out is by asking them. Surveys and open conversations give us a window into their experiences—what’s working, what’s not, and how they see AI fitting into their learning. Listening to students is key.

This is why I fear AI schools. Nobody is consulting with teachers to understand what kids actually need. This is an excellent take from a teacher with boots on the ground. Do I think AI can help? Sure, it’s an amazing tool but AI schools w/o teachers is not the answer. www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8FSB9ag/

This is a battle that is not going away any time soon, we need to keep educating the educators and curriculum needs to be redesigned.
What percentage of students are you willing to falsely accuse of cheating with AI?

There is a trade-off between false accusations and detection rates for AI. At a 10% false positive rate, detectors find 80% or less of AI content. At a 1% rate most find 60% or less.

Don’t trust AI detectors!

Overwhelmed with info when starting a new job? I uploaded key docs (sans proprietary data) into Notebook LM. Now I can ask it questions, get answers, AND know which doc to check. Onboarding made simple, efficient, & stress-free. Every new hire should have a bot!
