The real banger in this is the coinage of the term "epistemia," for something that has the surface appearance of knowledgeability & plausibility but no actual verification or expertise. Gonna get a lot of use, connecting the dots between bullshit, technochauvinism, & epistemic/hermeneutic injustice.

Exactly! My community college students are no less deserving than ivy students of a broad liberal arts education and the opportunity to explore many possible intellectual paths—CCs aren’t (only) trade schools—they’re an opportunity for many ppl to get their 1st two years of college cheaply & often
