More than 1,000 people took part in a survey conducted by the Ratho Bus Working Group who say the conclusion is that there is a "strong demand" for a direct public transport link from the city centre to Ratho. Part of the attraction in Ratho is the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena and also the Lost Shore Surf Resort which opened last year.

It might seem a small win but having these trackers installed in Ratho Village will make a huge difference to many! All we need now is a direct bus into Edinburgh. Please work together @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social @lothianbuses.bsky.social @edinburghbug.bsky.social @edinburghleisure.bsky.social

Reading lots of news about anti social behaviour on buses. @transformscot.bsky.social developed & delivered the #lovemybus youth programme in 2022/23 to over 10k young people in 22 local authorities. With more investment this could be continued. The ASB section might have included throwing balls 😏

The new Lostshore surf resort next to Edinburgh Leisure's International Climbing Arena (EICA) in Ratho, Edinburgh. Both impressive facilities but neither supported by a local bus 🚌. Despite attempts from both and the local community to work with operators and the council....

It was great visiting a snowy Aberdeen and hearing how income generated from city centre bus gates has been reinvested into tendered night buses for the festive period. So money generated from bus infrastructure going back into tendered bus services, wow! Some LA's could learn from this 🤔
