Teams are not making tons and tons, but not a single one of them is losing money. Maybe for a year here or there, but not a single owner is shelling out millions every year. Plus the new tv deal, and the boom of last years tickets/merch, they arent losing money.

 add a one cent transaction tax to every transaction in the gateway district. You can even include the adjacent street. On a daily basis there is probably 10,000 transactions that take place right there. Not even during any games.
