It was written in verse as if it were an epic, and trust me, it was pretty epic. It was a fast read that I didn’t want to put down. The descriptions, the way the stories intertwined with one another and came together in a way that was unexpected and exciting, made me want to read more books like this. What I liked the most was that I felt like I was emersed into the characters lives. The author’s style of writing is very unique, and if you haven’t read this book yet, then I highly recommend it to you. I really liked the incorporation of humor, but the only downside I saw was that some of the humor felt a little forced. The love story was adorable, and I felt like Arek really deserved his happily ever after. The author did a great job with really making the reader feel the emotion of the characters. I got book 2 as an ARC at Comic Con and rushed to preorder books 3 and 4. The characters are so lovable, and I couldn’t help but laugh so hard with all of Kianthe’s puns. There was action, adventure, love, and romance, and…dragons and magic! Everything I absolutely love in a book. I had never heard of the cozy fantasy genre before, but boy was it cozy, and I enjoyed reading this book while sipping a cup of tea. I’m going to definitely be reading more from this genre.
