These situations are completely different because a massive % of Chiefs fans actually live in Kansas. Maybe as much as 50%. Whereas I'm not aware of any significant presence of Bears fans in NW Indiana. Maybe they exist, but they're not even a vocal minority.

I really like Peter Gabriel; saw him in '86 & it was maybe the best concert I've ever attended, at least in an arena setting.
But I have to say, his "reverse mohawk" hairstyle in his Genesis days is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Just irredeemably awful. What was he thinking?

I really like Peter Gabriel; saw him in '86 & it was maybe the best concert I've ever attended, at least in an arena setting.

Done it w/ a band before, just never solo in front of an audience. Played all 3 songs w/ no pick, but the middle one was all Carter-style. Was fun!

Last night I did something I'd never done before: I played at an open mic w/ just an acoustic Guitar & my voice. I'd done that in front of an audience before but it's been a while (decades), and never at an open mic. Also played songs that I wrote, or had a hand in writing. No covers. It went well!

Yesterday we tried to go to a local bakery/coffee shop at 4PM. Their website said they were only open certain days from 1 - 7PM, which seemed odd for a bakery/coffee joint. We got there & the sign on the door said, "See you in the Spring!"

My Dad grew up in an urban neighborhood, mostly post-WWII (he was born a few years prior to its start). That 'hood was packed w/ kids at the time, w/ a major city park right across the street. He formed friendships then that lasted a literal lifetime. Conversely, I grew up in 2 different suburbs...

I agree w/ those who say that it's hypocritical of her to only speak out after she's become a target. But I will at least give her credit for speaking out, rather than just shutting up about it (which is what repub men would expect her to do). She could use her notoriety in much worse ways...

The word "lambaste" is disturbing. I once knew someone who wasn't very good w/ language & pronounced it "lamb-blast." No matter how hard I tried to explain to him that the word did not literally mean "blowing up baby sheep" he persisted. But the real word is only marginally less violent...
