If this sales job was some random company and I didn't know anyone then I would have taken the job and leave at the end of the year.

I think right now, the sales job has to give me the salary I want (12k more than they offered me) then I would take the offer. But if they can't even make it half way, I most likely won't take it just to remain in good standing w them.

With my current finance job, although it's stagnant, it's really comfortable, no drama, good work life balance. Money is okay, I can still save for the move but it's just a bit at a time.

Right now, my only reasons for accepting the sales job is 1. More money to save to move and 2. I can finally move out of finance.

And those coworkers are kinda like friends outside of work and maybe they can be a reference if I want to job hunt FT jobs in Japan. So it got me thinking about accepting or not.

Other friend told me it's good but also ask for an increase. She told me to think about accepting the job bc if I do, I'm really only their for the remainder of '25 as I'm moving back to Japan early '26. She didn't want me to burn the bridge with the relationship of the company

One friend said it's a good idea but definitely negotiate more salary. But also take into account the company car I'm getting, benefits, PTO, and remote workstyle. She said they gave me their minimum but they want me to counter offer with something. Just gotta state my reasons for the increase.

So I met up with my friends to discuss the job offer from my previous company to me and kinda give me some advice.

It's definitely a lot diff for my cat but he enjoys exploring and sleeping closer to me during the day 😊
