Miller's view is as wrong and toxic today as it has been for every generation up until now. Everyone in this country, with the exception of Native Americans, comes from people from somewhere else. They all have helped shape the US, with all its flaws, into the greatest nation on earth.

I wonder if there will be one story written on what, if anything, she accomplished for her district. As near as I can tell she did nothing but draw attention to herself. We have come to expect nothing from our congressional representatives, except maybe entertainment.

Totally agree. In everyday life, if someone gets in your face like that, they'd probably get punched in the nose. In journalism, your job is to get the story and let the world see what a warped, frustrated old man Mr. Potter, I mean, Trump is.

Masterson trumpets Trump to avoid a discussion of his record in Kansas. Masterson helped push through the Brownback tax experiment that almost destroyed our state; he pushed through a school finance plan that forced our schools to beg for funding and was eventually declared unconstitutional.

Along this line, we should reduce use of "red" states & "blue" states. Lots of Democrats live in red states & lots of Republicans live in blue. Every state is complicated. I live in a red state that elected a Democratic governor and voted to preserve abortion rights in the state constitution.

I hope this comes to the attention of the 8 Senate Dems who caved in on the budget since the disruption of SNAP benefits was one of their justifications for switching sides and voting to open the government.
