20+ years ago I was arrested and dragged across a gravel driveway for bravely telling the cops to fuck off after they closed the door due to a false noise complaint.

They made threats the whole way to the car as they ensured to slowly drag my back along the gravel.

It took WEEKS for the police to even be bothered to even reach out to the woman who assaulted my fiance.

They are all bad. Not just the top brass.
