Changed pads on my front Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes. Brakes originally installed January & pad replacement was months overdue. Been riding on back canti brakes alone for weeks! Hope I haven't screwed up pad replacement. My 1st time & I found it quite finicky. #Vancouver #homeless #bike

Watching the film "House of Dynamite" I noticed all the time spent talking on cell phones. Then I noticed sameness of the phones. Over first 2/3rds of film everyone seems to use the same model iPhone (16?) except FLOTUS, who has a satellite phone. POTUS' iPhone has presidential seal on bump case.

Thanks to #Vancouver Fairview resident who tossed out a clean old, sweater-style hoodie. I strongly prefer zippered hoodies but I liked the undivided kangaroo pocket so much I sewed on a salvaged zipper angled to miss pocket. Great fully & partially unzipped. Hangs weiird full unzipped. #homeless

In a few short years #Vancouver's #BroadwayPlan will block this view with highrise towers and take away the free pleasure of seeing the sunrise, effectively paywalling it. 😢

Elder #Vancouver friend phoned to say they'd received email saying their cloud storage was susended cuz payment method expired. Email incl. link to update payment info (!). My friend pays for iCloud & gets quite rattled each time they receive 1 of these clumsy #phishing emails.

Waiting in 100 block W 6th. Buying 1st thing off Karrot market app - a tasty 2018 Chinese rugged mobile (HomTom Zoji Z9) for only $30! Prob keep it but *may* give it (for $30) to #homeless peer who just lost their phone. Seller lives downtown but they've got appointment on 6th soon. #Vancouver
