Almost like every problem is capitalism, but we blame individuals instead

Couldn't enjoy being ill is a fucking wild headline

Aren't you also like dutch?

Children can't be trusted with choices.

The green card gives rights though and it can't be retracted. The rules they cite are about application.
But also, beyond that, should it be against the rules? to oppose a genocide?
Everyone should be protesting israel for the horrors they've done on such a scale.

Don't Jordan Peterson "debate the question". Know everything means "know everything". As in have a complete repository of knowable truths on all topics. That's what words mean.

The remedy of that tension is quantum mechanics. Like, these things exist for a reason.
March 17, 2025 at 5:04 PM
Training tells you to ask does the method and the results imply the conclusion. And the reason the conclusion is there is so we can come up with other ways of testing the implication to see if it still holds.

See young's double slit and the photo electric effect's contradicting conclusions.

Nothing stops you from trying to peer review things. Papers are paywalled by capitalism. Thats a problem. Outside of that. Go for it. However, it takes time and one day you'll die. So you can't check everything personally.

The idea reality evolves is true and false in different contexts. Like Inertia has been and will be a concept. Thats not changing .

Only how we talk about it might change. Thats the objective reality.

Generalizing is good. One should broaden their knowledge, but you can't know everything to a PhD level.

While they fight to defend the rigidity of tradition.

Capitalism has gutted such things which were built to uphold monarchy and colonialism. Which brings me back to "deconstructing gender" and supporting trans people is good.
Cause a lot of those ideas and structures were built to enslave us. However, people tend to think the LGBTQ is doing idpol.
March 17, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Yes, but just because you can't know everything doesn't mean you can't make ideas about reality. Planes were built by people who couldn't speak every language, but they knew planes.
We can build spaces for intellectualism and by can I mean did. Sadly, we have a lot of repair to do.
March 17, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Yes, but if you "cheat" in science and the next person doesn't have your bias then they won't recreate your results. The issue is a lack of peer review owing to publish or perish.

Sadly, a real lockdown and vaccine drive was mandatory. Tragically, the US didn't really do a lockdown. It just spiraled into a debate topic once it threatened profits.

You seen Radio figures saying they'd "sacrifice themselves to save the economy"... like its a fucking god demanding such.

not to dismiss metaphysics as a tool. However, for feeding people and ending suffering I find it lacking. And all I care about is the real world. (which I define as that which I can observe through those disciplines)
March 17, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Like in math you use proof. In physics you can use laboratories, models, predictions.
Its very broad. But for my purposes, objective reality exists. So when I make stances for objective reality I use the science that does. In politics I use materialism. I don't go in on metaphysics.
March 17, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Its more about the domains and spaces. You're skirting on epistemology. Like, what are we trying to prove? how could I design a rubric in a vacuum. However, in the idea of "academic science" the ability to work a crowd just has no value.

What do you mean recover post covid? Like whats your view there?
March 17, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Have you ever considered some do know more? That friction you face comes from their knowledge which you mistake for inertia, but in reality is just that they know things and you'd have to move many many points to convince them because of how grounded it all is
