Yeah it's a really tough thing - like how do present the wide breadth of things you can do to a kid who hasn't had the experience to be able to choose? Choosing a uni, a major, felt so final and even then it was presented as a time to explore. Throw in trades too and it's so overwhelming

I'm not saying it's a scam, but I do think by treating university as a one size fits all solution is problematic. Some people absolutely thrive, and some people make it 4 years (if even) and still have no idea what they got out of it. We tell kids they can be anything, but that's hard to narrow down

For sure, right now we stigmatize trades as the route for those who "aren't smart enough for college"

I'm not anti-education and I think there is a lot of value in a society that can critically think. But I think we've been questioning the value of a basically mandatory 4 year degree for decades now especially with the debt that is required to attend. I can see why students would take the easy path

And also it's been hammered into your brain for the first 18 years of your life that college is "what's next"

It's a good question - I would hope that understanding the material directly correlating to your ability to perform the task would be motivation enough. You can't prompt engineer your way through drawing someone's blood, right? Right??

Regardless of disability, your opinions on your experiences are still legitimate. They're your experiences and they add to the conversation, which is a key component of any artform

Great review, thank you! But also damn you for the great review because it pushed me to buying Ember Island Players, Everything Changed, and A Lot to Learn

The withholdings would be tough if you're not W4 exempt either

When it comes to federal taxes, individuals and businesses pay them directly to the federal government. I could be wrong, but I think this would have be a collective action made by individuals, not by the state

Reading through this thread I was thinking "content moderation may be the hardest thing to manage on the internet, the second being user verification" and imagine my surprise to find someone saying "if we just..." about both. T&S teams work extremely hard and it is incredibly nuanced

This sent me down a rabbit hole of "what is a vassal" and "are hylians a race or nationality" It's independent right? That's why Zelda had to go ask for each ally's help to form the group of champions/avengers?

Yeah they haven't really missed yet, so I'm down. I mean I also watched a bunch of Land Before Times and loved Mega Man 6. Kids gonna love kid stuff and I love that

I try to tell myself if it takes less than 5 minutes, just do it now. And also, I try to focus on what I successfully did do instead of spiraling on all that I didn't. It's a little "draw the rest of the owl" but forgiving myself has gone a long way I'm building little habits

I don't what's more surprising - how fun the game loop is or the fact that it runs so well on steam deck

And then someone says "time is money, so take five minutes back from this meeting." One second later your neighbor drops dead, the time sucked out of them. At the funeral, everyone gives the deceased a moment of silence, taking all the time back from you

They do, but here it's considered an act of war

Yeah did they not see that Sonic Rumble came out today?
