I neglected this place for quite a long time; so long, in fact, that it was enough time to cycle through some special interests. 😅 As usual, I don't really grow out of them, more like go on intense benders and then take a break. Such was the case with Calico Critters. It isn't my first time playing with them, but it is my first time going all-out on creating a huge display, which involved more than simply buying and putting together sets.

Today I added stick-on patches to the pink version of this backpack! I also tested it with one of my bigger plushies, Crème Brûlée. I wanted to see what is the biggest I can carry comfortably in one of these bags. I am really happy with it so far. Once the keychains come in, they'll be complete!

Before you ask: Fiona has a donut because she picks at herself for undetermined reasons. All potential health issues having been ruled out, the donut is the only solution she accepts quite happily. Fiona will choose a spot to overgroom until she bleeds. So she needs her donut. I take it off every couple days, under supervision, so she doesn't get sores.

My very own Pathfinder is finally here, courtesy of the wonderful BAMS (Bears Against MS), my favorite local stockist! It's always such a joy to open Valerie's carefully packaged bears. 🥰 I've had Pathfinder on hold for my birthday for some time! Ultimately, I was able to get them a little sooner. This is one of those cases where the stock photo does not do then product justice at all!

Today I reached out to Valerie at BAMS (Bears Against MS), my semi-local (well, Vero Beach) and favorite Charlie Bears stockist, on the off chance that they might be willing to hold Pathfinder for me for my birthday without a deposit, which I could not provide right now, since I'm hoping to get Pathfinder as a birthday present. To my delight, not only did Valerie say yes, but I was able to pick my favorite out of the several Pathfinders she had in stock!

It's happened. The recent blind box craze got to me, I am a basic b***h after all. 😔 Now, to begin with, I first saw Labubus in the wild knowing nothing about them and not having seen them before, when I went to the Florida Mall in Orlando quite some time ago. There was a place there full of crane machines and similar games --I believe it was GatchaUSA.

Recently, when browsing a back-to-school section, I saw these see-through backpacks. Normally, I don't like them very much, but I realized they are perfect for carrying my bigger stuffed animals around while letting them see the world! They are also quite easy to decorate with stick-on patches. 😁 I still plan to add one more patch and a keychain that reads"ToyVoyagers" to this particular backpack, as a nod to the original (now mostly dead) ToyVoyagers site.

I am 42 years old today. I figured it was the right day to (after a long-in-the-works revamp) reopen the blog to the public and share some thoughts that I’ve been carrying. It will seem like an odd post to make on my birthday, but I’ve been putting it off, and making the blog public again is my gift to myself, even if the changes this necessitated were not fun to make.
