Friendly neighbourhood dipshit. Mostly oblivious, entirely exhausted.

RPGs, RPGs and more RPGs, with a dash of metroidvanias and the odd action game thrown in for flavour.

Good fantasy novel/game recs will always earn you a follow.

He/Him-ish.
Titanfall 2 - short, sweet, and fucking awesome. Real shame they never made a third.

Okay, after finishing Veilguard i have some mixed thoughts/feelings about it. I think that a lot of the criticisms were valid especially around the dialogue, but that the overall package was better than I expected. The combat was snappy and fun, the visuals were pretty, and it ran great throughout

Huh. So i'll guess i'll just watch anything with Ben Whishaw in it.

Man, learning that Sloclap's next game is a soccer game was such a bummer for me. I'm all for devs making what they wanna make, but Sifu ripped so fucking hard & I was so hyped to see what they'd cook next. *sigh* welp! Hopefully their next one is for me

Starting a rewatch of Penny Dreadful and the vibes in this show are completely immaculate. What a show

So, i'm like...40/50 hours into Veilguard and so far I haven't run into a single bug. Not one frame drop, wonky visual, nothing. Everything runs smooth as butter. The discourse around this game has been super negative, but from a technical standpoint it's a prime example of how a game should launch

Love seeing all the people on here getting hyped for different games from the g/a. Can't wait to catch up on it tomorrow and see what i missed.

Is it weird that i'm sorta indifferent to the idea of more Elden Ring content so soon? I LOVED that game, and the dlc, and spent hundreds of hours there, but now i think i'm ready to move on. I dunno, maybe i'm still just too close to Consort Radahn beating literal years off my actual human life 😅

I feel like if they'd pitched Veilguard as an action game (which is what it actually is, imo), rather than a RPG people would've been far less butt hurt about it.

I know people love new shiny things (me too), but over the last couple of years i've transitioned away from buying games on release and into waiting for them to be on deep sale, and y'all, it's the best

The most unbelievable thing in the movie Venom 2, the Venoming, is that Woody Harrelson's character was a teenager in the 90s

Okay, a few days into Veilguard and so far, pretty good! I can definitely see where some of the complaints about the dialogue are coming from (not the go woke, go broke shit, i've got exactly zero time for that), and i do think it undercuts the more serious moments/themes of the game

When the promotional material was coming out for Indiana Jones I could not have been more luke-warm about it. I just got it in my noodle that it was going to be a 5/10 AAA mid-fest that was banking on nostalgia to sell. Could not be happier to be proven wrong and super stoked people are enjoying it

First impressions of Veilguard: looks beautiful and the combat feels fun and punchy (great sound design). The dialogue feels a little flat and exposition-y, but it's just at the beginning and it's not as bad as some have said. Hyped to get deeper into it!

Okay, taking the plunge and finally getting into Veilguard. Interested to see how it hits, based on how wild and swingy the takes have been on this game.

Anybody else ever get that thing where you finish a game you love and are just COMPLETELY incapable of making a decision about what to play next? Everything looks good, but nothing is hooking me. Suggestions please!

Early reviews for Indy are much more positive than I was expecting. I'm not sure why, but for whatever reason i was expecting a very solid 7 or 7.5 for this one. Hell yeah MachineGames! Great results.

As for the combat, which i know people are super divided on, i ended up liking it towards the end. It's more stat-based than it appears, which leads to a reallllly rough and clunky start (which i think is intended), and you absolutely have to learn master strikes, but it really hits its stride later
Just finished Kingdom Come Deliverance. What a banger! Still a bit janky, but overall super impressive what Warhorse managed with that budget and team-size.

I think the most impressive part of KCD to me is how they managed to build a world where systems I usually can't stand (food/sleep management, weapon/armour durability, etc.) feel like the exact right choice for the devs to make, like it needed them to be there to be as good and immersive as it was

My toxic trait as a gamer is complaining that the main campaign in open world games is too long or bloated, when in reality i just burnt myself out by picking herbs in the woods for 100+ hours

Kingdom Come Deliverance - an objectively annoying game that I absolutely adore.
