I didn’t know the Metroid Prime 4 amiibos were already out and the clerk at GameStop asked me if I wanted one while I was there picking up Kirby Air Riders. When you have one in your hands, you can see why it’s $40. It’s very intricately detailed.

I don't think it's that much of a stretch to simply say that he wasn't at the base when Goku attacked it. (Maybe he was a child at the time? I forget how old he's supposed to be.)

Something I just discovered is that you can play this DLC Grand Prix and the game will select random courses for the second and third rounds.
Makes me want to see a Random Grand Prix mode get added.
