Currently reading “Tom Jones” (1749) by Henry Fielding.

Highlight of the WDW trip for me was hanging at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant and watching all the snippets from the “classics” while dining with the fam.
Usually I use all the battery from my phone on my days off, but since starting this one I haven’t even used half the last couple of days. Laced with twists and cliffhangers that are making me stay up way past my bedtime. Also love how the chapters are short.
Bonus: Snagged the last of the pumpkin 🥧.

Day 29: Favorite RKO Film Noir: “The Stranger” (1946).
Love Edward G. being the good guy in this one and Young and Welles were terrific as well. Great direction and cinematography by Welles and Russell Metty to boot!

Great post, Jack! I always enjoy when Audrey Totter shows up on the billing. She was fabulous in “The Set Up” (1949) and years later popped up in “The Apple Dumpling Gang” (1979). From Joliet, IL. Anywhere near you @bronzeagebabies.bsky.social ?

Day 24: Favorite Film Noir Poster:
1954 Re-release of Asphalt Jungle. Be damned that Ms. Monroe played a small part in the film. She had broken through and now the poster depicted her as the star of the film. Shenanigans for sure.
