Welcome to Winnipeg! If you find yourself in the vicinity of Galaxy Comics again, I highly recommend stopping in at Subzero Icecream (nearby on the corner of Jamieson and Brazier) for an eggnog parfait; it's an early taste of Christmas. They make the best parfaits in the city.

It wasn't safe to spend time outside for most of the summer because of wildfire smoke, but sure, let's throw gasoline on the fire.

The architect of Project 2025 has no opinions worth hearing; they've all been clearly laid out in that fascist playbook. There was absolutely nothing to be gained by meeting with him, and doing so gives him credibility he doesn't deserve.

Wow, that's some serious victim blaming there, Mark. Way to side with genocidal war criminals.

I suspect the media is manufacturing controversy by deliberately taking the bill out of context. Fast-tracking is accomplished by not having to go through the same approval twice for the province and the feds when they have identical standards.

I've read Bill C5, which is posted on the parliamentary website; it states that First Nations must be consulted on all projects, and that Federal regulations are only waived if they are duplicated by the province in question. I'm confused about where this controversy is coming from.

That principal needs to be fired. They have no business being in the education field. When did speaking out against genocide become wrong? Anyone who was 'hurt' by this student's speech needs to check their moral compass.

I feel that for-profit journals were the start of all this nonsense. For years I've refused to review papers for Elsevier. They were the first of the academic publishing predators.
