You all have been nice and putting up with me posting bugs today so here is a photo of one of the Northern Flicker dudes that likes to hang around the yard. He hasn't been drumming on the chimney cap yet, but any day now he'll be establishing territory.
A handsome woodpecker that is tan in color with horizontal patterns on his wings and back, a black mustache patch, red blaze on his neck, and yellow on the edge of his wings. He is clinging to a large branch.
