"Then again I'm not a professional art critic"
might be techically correct, but it loses character, and the intent with which 'professional' was used.
you captured the idea quite effectively, although you may prefer using "at least" instead of "I mean"

I have heard (directly) that the management is generally awful and assumed that carried over into fire prevention.
It probably does, but the blanket statement I made is clearly incorrect.

I like lock to absolute grid for blocking things in sometimes, if you're going purely for speed / in-editor design

25% tax is quite a lot, esp considering that people are living of the remaining 75% of their income. That's 3 people paying an entire salary in taxes.

The logic does makes sense, but assumes an ideal enviornment. Nature is always going to form the simplest molecule given an enviornment.

I drink my own cool-aid, thank you. :P
Obviously you can't prevent a fire entirely, but I doubt the ideal strategy is to just let things burn. The duration that a fire burns more might also be important for responders' resource management.

Still very dry though. Feels getting off the lift at the top of a ski trail every time you walk outside.
I don't personally like nested comments, it separates coversations, but it leads to this thread anarcy thing.

The prevention funding is still crazy to me, given the amount of money they lose each fire. It's not even an expense at that point.

btw, it's rather hard to read threads from notifications, I think I missed one of your messages before I spoke

It's seems that the NM situation was during wildfire season? Can you burn when it's cooler?

Fire prevention is 1.7% of that
and (according to google) wildfires cause 117.4 billion in damages a year. Those numbers, if even remotely accurate, do not check out.
I don't know the details of controlled burns, you are more knowledgable than me.

it would be more accurate to say they want to be simple, especially given that hydrogen is 3x more common than helium, which makes it a weighted binary at best.
or are you joking? I've heard much crazier said with conviction.
