I spent the last couple of hours at the moving image museum watching Wuthering Heights which was preceded by a short a and a with Merle Oberon biographer Mayukh Sen. An excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon #tcmparty

“Which one of you bitches is my mother?!” 😂 I just got dvd of the gloriously over the top trashy 80s miniseries Lace. I haven’t seen it since it first aired and mesmerized me. Let’s see how this holds up!

Happy 92nd birthday to Kim Novak.Here are 2 pictures I took last spring at opening of her art exhibit at Butler Museum that she attended. Not only is she a cinematic legend, she’s a talented artist.

I finished Anna Karenina last night. While Levin’s inner life religious journey resonated with me I can see why film adaptations focus on Anna & Vronsky. Time to give Garbo version a rewatch. And some of themes and milieu of book reminded me of Antonioni’s L’Avventura so time to rewatch as well.
