I totally understand. *we* will be fine but my heart is breaking for all of the families that won’t be. And the folks who are all “hahaha Michigan you’re getting what you deserve” need to realize the folks that voted for this are barely going to notice. And I’m mad.

I live in Michigan. All the people who are gleefully reveling in what will ultimately disproportionately impact Black and brown and poor families who *did* vote Blue has me feeling some kind of way. Working class & BIPOC families are going to suffer. Children are going to suffer.

Our state was trying to pass driver’s licenses for undocumented folks forever and now it’s like…do we want a list of undocumented folks & their home addresses to exist for someone to subpoena?

In the education justice world, we’re pushing sanctuary schools hard right now.
